07 - 5 ounces white chocolate, melted
08 - 1/4 cup silver sugar pearls or white sprinkles

01 - In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
02 - Add the egg and vanilla extract to the creamed mixture and blend until fully combined.
03 - Gradually stir in the all-purpose flour and salt until a smooth dough forms without overmixing.

05 - Preheat the oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
06 - On a lightly floured surface, roll the chilled dough to approximately 1/4 inch thickness.
07 - Use snowflake-shaped cookie cutters to cut the dough and arrange the shapes evenly on the prepared baking sheets.
08 - Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges just begin to turn a light golden color.
09 - Transfer the baked cookies to a wire rack and allow them to cool fully before decorating.
10 - Dip or drizzle the cooled cookies with melted white chocolate, sprinkle with sugar pearls or sprinkles, and finish with a dusting of icing sugar to create a snowy effect.
